The World Anti-Doping Prohibited List is updated every year and is valid from January 01 until December 31 of that particular year.
The status of medications could change from year to year, and athletes and health professionals are encouraged to monitor the status of all their medications every year.
Be advised that not all prohibited substances are individually named in the Prohibited List. Any substance with a similar chemical structure or biological effect(s), may also be prohibited.
The United States Anti-Doping Agency publishes the “Athlete Guide to the Prohibited List”, which is an online document to guide athletes on the changes made to the Prohibited List. This document also explains how these changes could impact the athlete. This guide is not exhaustive, and works in conjunction with the Prohibited List.
