This course will walk you through the foundations of healthcare improvement in the NICU. The course has four modules, the first delivered through the Institute of Healthcare Improvement and the rest through CPQCC.

Each lesson begins with an introductory video designed to provide learners with an overview of the concept. The introductory video is often followed by a “deep dive” video in which a CPQCC member  NICU explains how they have used the concepts presented in the lesson in their quality improvement journey. Each lesson concludes with links to further reading about the concepts explained during the lessons and practical tools for learners to put the concepts into practice.

To assess the quality of this course, we’ve included a brief knowledge check at the end of the modules that will capture what you’ve learned and provide you with an opportunity to share your feedback.  As part of a partnership with the Perinatal Advisory Council: Leadership, Advocacy, and Consultation (PAC/LAC), this activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)^TM. The Perinatal Advisory Council: Leadership, Advocacy, and Consultation (PAC/LAC) is an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing Provider CEP 5862.  Learners who score >70% on the knowledge check are eligible to receive up to 3.0 CME/CEU credits.
